PLUSCO 472 Water Resistant Calcium Grease - Fastline 472 Defender is a water washout-resistant calcium grease formulated with rust, corrosion, and extreme pressure additives.
Fastline 472 Defender has cohesive properties that coat the plastic sheath of the wireline to ensure optimal coverage by the lubricant and prevent corrosion damage. This protection decreases lubrication frequency and reduces instrument downtime.
Fastline 472 Defender uses a proprietary blend of corrosion inhibitors, friction modifiers, and antioxidants. The corrosion inhibitors in the blend form a protective layer to insulate the cable from any H2S and CO2 present in the well and any other harmful substances present downhole. The friction modifiers and antioxidants extend the life of the wireline, and the added grease continues providing protection while the job is in progress. It also reduces metal-to-metal contact to protect the integrity of the cable.
Application
Fastline 472 Defender is recommended for "Greaseless Wireline" applications as a pack off grease for protecting the plastic sheath covering the wireline cable.
